Course Details

So you know how your digital camera works and you can take a pretty good photo. Now it's time to learn some photo manipulation. We will use the free program GIMP (supplied) and Photoshop. By working on the three projects, a panorama, a formal & informal collage and the designing of a front cover for a ficticious magazine, you will be exposed to many skills, concepts, and methods along the way such as: open, close, cut/paste, cropping, stitching, scaling, distorting, blending, colour adjustments, opacity, layers, selection tools, and more. This course presumes you have a workable level of computer skills. If the student wishes to use the full version of Photoshop, for only Elements is available, then they will need to supply their own computer and software.
